I just read Before Redemption by Teresa McClain-Watson and its a Christian Fiction novel with a flair. There is never a dull moment in this book. This book tells the life of Nikki Lucas who is in love with bad boy Dino Cochran, a fine hustler from Chicago. Well Nikki has a heated one night of passion with Dino which leads to a pregnancy. When Nikki goes to tell Dino that she is pregnant, she discovers that he is married and his wife is pregnant. So a heart broken Nikki flees Chicago. Now 16 years later in Monroe, Florida, Dino now Bishop, comes to her town to take over a church that is in trouble. Nikki has a secret that Dino doesn't know. She struggles to give her life to Christ because she doesn't believe salvation will do her any good. This book is great because it deals with how a person can be broken or struggling and cannot see light from darkness. Alot of people get hurt and can't believe that God is there until he shows up and shows out. This story shows how good things come to those who wait.
